Common tsessebe are found in Angola, Zambia, Nambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, and south Africa. The common tsessebe are among the fastest antelopes in Africa and can run at speeds up to 55 miles per hour. Tsessebe are social animals with females forming herds composed of 6 to 10, including their young. Their bodies are chestnut brown and the fronts of their faces and their tail tufts are black with grayish forelimbs and thighs; their hind limbs are brownish-yellow to yellow and their bellies are white. Tsessebe can live up to 15 years in the wild.
