$1,800.00

Animal Description:

The greater kudu are found in a variety of habitats in eastern and southern Africa including both sparse and dense forested areas as well as mountainous areas that provide bush and thicket cover for security. They remain in the deciduous woodlands during the rainy season, moving along the banks of rivers in the dry season where there is rich vegetation. The Kudu has stripes and spots on the body, with most having a chevron of white hair between the eyes. Males have long, spiral horns which can grow as long as 6 feet. Female greater kudus are noticeably smaller than the males with males weighing up to 700 pounds. They have large, sensitive ears and camouflage coloring help protect them from predators. If alarmed, they stand still and are difficult to spot. They are powerful swimmers and possess a keen sense of hearing, typically living 7-8 years in the wild.
