The meaning behind the name…Simply put: “Toten Tiere” is German for Dead Animals. With roots from the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country we thought it fitting to give an “on-the-nose” nod to where everything started.

Our love for taxidermy started many years ago when we were gifted mounts which were no longer wanted and were headed for the trash. It struck us how sad and wasteful it was that these items were going to be discarded without a second thought. It became a mission of ours to find homes for each mount so that their unique history, beauty, and legacy, could live on and continued to be admired. Both natives of Pennsylvania we now reside in the beautiful mountains of Central Colorado but continue to travel the country in order to curate our ever-growing collection of mounts so we can share their beauty with the world.

Our Story

Our Process

We curate our collection and each piece is hand selected by us. We are hands on from strart to finish, we examine and clean each item that comes into our possession and use a dedicated taxidermy transporter to ship across the country so you will never have to worry about mishandling or damage during transport.

See a piece you are interested in? You can add it directly to the cart, but we recommend giving us a call to talk about your item! We are more than happy to send additional pictures, videos, dimensions, and any history. We pride ourselves on being completely transparent about each of our items.
